Macquarie’s Information Services Division is responsible for: * Managing the Bank's technology infrastructure * Supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems * Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and servicesThe Division provides each major business in the Bank with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.Technology plays a critical role within the Macquarie Securities business and we are seeking Service Analysts to help support, monitor and analyse the service in our Global systems, including our FIX Client Connectivity and Fidessa Order Management platforms.The role includes daily activities around monitoring, reporting and issue tracking as well as responsibilities for identifying service quality trends and root cause problems. The person we are seeking should have both good attention to detail and a strong interest in problem solving and analysing issues. The role involves rostered shifts to cover critical trading times across our global environment and on weekends for post-change checks of the environment.Key Responsibilities: * Monitor systems and log requests, issues and incidents arising from day-to-day operations * Track system performance and capacity trends * Prepare regular operational reports * Process improvement around our practices in these areas of responsibility
Skills: * Sense of ownership, self-motivated and good at working with little supervision * Excellent Communication skills and ability to summarise and report on issues * Strong numeric skills and experience in analysing data * Ability to work as part of a global teamThe ideal candidate will have: * Experience in similar role is highly desirable * Unix, script programming and performance tuning experience desirable * University degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent * Attention to detail and strong interest in analysis and problem solving * Financial markets experience is desirable
