The Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for: * Managing Macquarie's technology infrastructure * Supporting, maintaining and enhancing existing business systems * Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies and servicesThe Group provides each major business in Macquarie with a dedicated team that works closely with that business to understand its particular technology needs.Macquarie Group as an organisation has a high reliance on technology in the execution of its business day-to-day. Therefore the availability of ICT Services and Systems is seen as critical by all Business Units.The ITS Service Performance team is looking for a skilled Capacity Analyst to be responsible for capacity management and performance monitoring activities across a range of Infrastructure systems and resources.Reporting to the Global Capacity Manager this person will use a range of tools to gather and manipulate data to produce Performance and Capacity reports, Infrastructure growth models, highlighting issues for further investigation.Responsibilites Include: * Participate in all Capacity Management activities as they relate to Infrastructure Services and resources; * Business Capacity Management; liaise with business representatives and incorporate requirements into models and plans for IT Services; * Service Capacity Management; review and analyse performance and capacity data of all ITS Services, highlighting issues where IT infrastructure is operating outside agreed thresholds or will not accommodate Business requirements; * Resource Capacity Management; highlight and recommend strategies to resolve individual resources issues to meet Service Demands; * Participate in scheduled Capacity Reviews and Planning sessions; * Assist in capacity planning in line with the organization’s business and budget planning cycle o By determining capacity requirements early enough to take account of procurement lead times o Awareness of the future demand for IT services and projecting effects of demand on performance service level * Assist the Global Capacity Manager with the creation and maintenance of Capacity Plans; * Evaluate impact of proposed changes on the capacity design and plan * Identify and Recommend Improvement Initiatives including Tools and Systems.Additional Responsibilities * Assist with the configuration and operation of capacity related tools
Skills and Experience * 3 years + experience working in an IT related Service Industry * Knowledge and Experience in the Delivery of IT Services to Customers * Knowledge of the ITIL Framework * Understanding and Experience of Capacity Management Process, Systems and tools * Knowledge of BMC Service Management Products (Remedy, Patrol) or equivalent * Knowledge of Microsoft MOM or equivalent * Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint * Knowledge of the Banking and financial Services Sector * Strong Written and Oral Communicator
