Financial Analysis and General Accounting Manager
Job Description:
  • Supports the MSSC Director in supervising the operations of the APAC Financial Analysis and General Accounting Team.
  • As the APAC Manager, he/ she will assist the Director in:
    • Ensuring that the APAC FA & GA Team delivers high-quality services based on service level agreements with the client divisions
    • Managing, motivating and developing the team
    • Ensuring that best practice standardized processes are operated consistently by all departments,
    • Maintaining good relationships with the APAC locations’ local finance teams and the APAC HQ,
    • Preparing and reviewing the formal interim and annual performance appraisal forms of the APAC Teams, and participate in the discussion of their performance
    • Ensuring that the client divisions are in compliance with Companies Policies & Procedures and US GAAP
    • Ensuring that the appropriate internal controls are in place and are in compliance with SOX and Emerson CP&P’s
 
  • A CPA; MBA, preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in a managerial position, preferably 3 years of which is in a financial shared services/ business process outsourcing environment
  • At least 10 years combined experience in finance reporting and analysis, accounting processes, and process improvements, preferably in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
  • Experience in a manufacturing set-up, a plus
  • Ability to hire and manage a large team (at least 20 people)
  • Very good interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with people in multi-disciplines from the clerical/staff level to senior management
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to interact professionally with clients and service providers locally, and in Asia-Pacific
  • Exposure in working with Service Level Agreements and/ or metrics
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency to meet project goals
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to changes
  • Able to thrive in a highly dynamic, multi-tasking environment
  • Experience in ERP applications (AS400, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Oracle, etc)
  • Advanced Excel Skills preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Willing to work long hours and during Philippine holidays, whenever necessary
